Booking & Requirements

No, Ascend does not require a membership for on-demand private charter. Anyone can book directly without restrictions or long-term commitments. For frequent travelers, we also offer a bulk credit program, allowing guests to deposit funds on account in exchange for flight credits and added convenience.

Many of our guests book their flights weeks or months in advance to secure preferred dates and times. However, we also specialize in short notice or pop up charters, which can often be arranged with as little as 1.5 hours notice depending on aircraft and crew availability.

We understand that plans change, and we do our best to accommodate adjustments whenever possible. A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due 48 hours prior to departure. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable, and cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled flight are non-refundable in full.

While Ascend via Makers Air cannot operate flights solely within The Bahamas, we can arrange inter-island travel through our trusted Bahamian charter partners. Our team will handle all coordination to ensure a seamless travel experience, whether you’re flying between island or returning to the U.S.

Scheduled flights with Makers Air operate on set departure times and have other passengers on board, along with standard luggage limits. A private charter with Ascend, on the other hand, is completely on demand. You choose the schedule, the destination, and enjoy the entire aircraft exclusively for your group.
Airport Experience & Day-of Travel

No. Ascend flights operate out of FBOs or private terminals, where your luggage is loaded directly from the lobby or your vehicle to the aircraft. There’s no TSA screening or long security lines, just a quick and seamless boarding experience.

We recommend arriving 30 minutes before departure for international flights and 15 minutes before departure for domestic flights. If you are running late, simply contact your charter specialist so we can coordinate accordingly and ensure a smooth departure.

For longer range or larger group travel, our team can source aircraft through our trusted network of partners, ensuring we match the right aircraft for every mission and destination.

Our Cessna Caravans offer generous luggage capacity, typically allowing passengers to bring more baggage than on most comparable aircraft. However, the total allowable luggage weight depends on factors such as the number of passengers, fuel requirements, and the distance of your flight. Your Charter Specialist will review these details prior to departure to ensure your flight remains within safe operating limits.

Yes, Ascend via Makers Air is pet friendly and welcomes your furry companions on board. A cleaning fee may apply if necessary, and for international travel, pets must meet all destination specific entry and vaccination requirements. Our team is happy to assist with the necessary documenting to make your trip smooth and stress free.

Catering is not included, but our team is happy to arrange anything from gourmet meals to themed snacks or beverages to enjoy on board or prior to departure. When you receive a quote from Ascend via Makers Air, it is inclusive of all taxes and fees. There are no hidden charges. The only additional costs would be optional incidentals, such as catering or special request arranged at your discretion.
Travel Documentation & Customs

All passengers traveling to The Bahamas are required to present a valid passport. U.S. citizens do not need a visa for leisure travel. For the return flight the United States, U.S. Customs and Border Protection procedures apply. Your Ascend via Makers Air team will help coordinate all required documentation and customs paperwork to ensure a smooth, hassle free experience.
