COLLEGE OF THE FLORIDA KEYS SWIM AROUND KEY WEST
If you are up for an athletic-type vacation, you might want to try the 12.5-mile swim around Key West. The Atlantic Ocean water is pristine, and you can see fish, coral and maybe even some turtles if you look close enough. Dolphins may even try to join in, too. If you don’t want to swim that many miles, there are smaller races – 6.1 miles, 2 miles, 1 mile, and 800 yards.
When: The main swim is June 17, but there are also events on June 16 and June 18
Where: Starting and ending at Smathers Beach, Key West
